Samsung has announced, along with Galaxy Fold 4 and Galaxy Flip4 the new Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro, which have shaped users’ health and well-being habits with intuitive insights, advanced features and new features. Galaxy Watch5 reinforces the features in which users rely every day, while Galaxy Watch5 Pro – the latest newest Galaxy Watch5 – is the most durable watch with more features from Samsung.
These new devices will be a key help for users to achieve their goals.
“We are committed to helping our Galaxy Watch line users in their daily routines, giving them the tools, data and resources needed to better understand their health and well-being overall,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business from Samsung Electronics. “With Samsung’s innovative BioActive Sensor, we are empowering users with the most complete information about their health.”
Sensors with cutting-edge technology to better understand the user
With a growing desire to understand and act better in relation to the individual health goals of each one, Samsung has committed to providing in-depth monitoring and physiological data, providing users with the information they need to help them along their health and wellness journey. Galaxy Watch5 is equipped with the exclusive Samsung BioActive Sensor that drives the next era of digital health monitoring.
Presented for the first time in the Galaxy Watch4 series, BioActive Sensor integrates into a single chip three powerful health sensors – Optical Heart Rate, Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Bioelectric Impedance Analysis – to provide extensive readings that include heart frequencies, blood oxygen levels, and even stress levels. In addition, users can gain a deeper understanding of their heart health by monitoring blood pressure and ECG – directly from the pulse.
Since 2020, Samsung has expanded these capabilities to 63 markets, including five new ones – Bolivia, Nicaragua, Réunion Island, Turkey and Venezuela – to ensure that everyone can better follow the health of the heart every day.
With a larger surface area and more direct contact with the wrist, Galaxy Watch5 now tracks health metrics with even greater accuracy. In addition, the powerful BioActive 3 in 1 sensor works in combination with the other Galaxy Watch5 sensors, including the newly introduced temperature sensor, to provide users with a deep understanding of their well-being. The temperature sensor uses infrared technology for more accurate readings, even if the temperature of the surrounding environment is changed. This opens up new possibilities for different health monitoring software to offer new user welfare analysis and registration options.
Holistic health insights to improve the well-being of all
Designed for daily gains, Galaxy Watch5 offers a comprehensive experience ranging from fitness to post-workout, rest and recovery. The Body Composition measurement tool provides a complete overview of the overall health of the user, providing you with a tailored approach to set goals, guide you through personalized workouts and track progress. And when it’s time to rest, the Galaxy Watch5 series enables users with recovery data, including heart rate after intense workout and personalized recommendations on water consumption based on sweat loss.
A good night’s rest is fundamental to general well-being, which is why Samsung is helping users to have a better night’s sleep. Understand sleep patterns through Sleep Scores that monitor sleep stages along with detection of snoring and blood oxygen levels. Achieving improved sleep habits is possible with Sleep Coaching, a custom program that gives guidance for a month. By integrating SmartThings, Galaxy Watch5 automatically fixes on lights, air conditioning units, and TVs in pre-determined settings that create the ideal sleep environment. Users can sleep rested knowing that improved drop detection ensures that an emergency contact is notified if you fall home or on the street.
Regarding battery life, the Galaxy Watch5 comes equipped with a 13% higher battery, furthermore, for eight hours of sleep tracking are required only eight minutes of charge due to a 30% faster charging system than the Galaxy Watch4. At the resistance level, the Galaxy Watch5 also ensures more durability with its screen made of sapphire decristal, which offers a 60% tougher outer surface compared to the previous version.
